When first introduced in 1949 the Ford Custom was one of the first redesigned cars after WWII. The name quickly changed the following year to Custom Deluxe and changed once again to Customline in 1952. It wasn’t until 1957 that the Custom name returned with an accompanying Custom 300. The return was short-lived as the Custom nameplate once again disappeared in 1960, only to once again return in 1964 as the Custom and Custom 500 where Ford would continue production for another eight years.
